The clinic has been equipped with digital radiography equipment for several years. These produce high quality images while significantly reducing X-ray exposure.
Digital radiography has several advantages:
- The image is clearer, because it is reworked by computer to improve the contrasts.
- Faster because we do not have to wait for the development of the film.
- Does not require any chemicals. It is therefore more environmentally friendly than traditional radiography, which requires considerable amounts of fixer and film developer to be thrown into the sewer.
- The dose of a digital panoramic X-ray is less than the natural radiation to which a person flying for half an hour in an aircraft at 11 000 m altitude is subjected.
